Reset. Recharge. Renew.

Visit Taos in early spring and bask in the tradition of the Mabel Dodge Luhan House Historic Inn & Conference Center—the place that brought together Willa Cather, D.H. Lawrence, Robinson Jeffers, Ansel Adams, Georgia O’Keefe, and other creative writers and artists to be inspired by the landscape and its history.

Be present ~ Move with Intention

  • Wooden archway with a horse head design, featuring a hanging bell, leading to a stone pathway in a park with autumn trees.

Imagine time to recharge from winter.

This all-inclusive retreat is for anyone looking for a pause—a moment to destress and create balance in the present. Cultivate a sense of stillness and awareness to unlock tension and increase relaxation.

  • A spiral rock garden on a gravel surface with trees and buildings in the background, and a fence with colorful flags or signs.

    Embrace new energy.

Daily meditation and gentle movement practices will create spaciousness, clarity, and self-compassion. Restore energy flow in the body and welcome vitality and harmony in the new season.

Slow down, tune out the world, and quiet your mind. Regulate your body by stepping into the wide landscapes of Taos. Be surrounded by trees, mountains, and a bright blue sky. Unplug from the world and enjoy the simple acts of eating, walking, resting, and gentle movement practices. These are the goals for this six day/five night inclusive retreat—to take a pause as we welcome in spring.

Join a space designed for deep relaxation, reflection, and renewal. Daily meditation and movement sessions as well as reading and writing prompts will prepare our bodies and minds to be expansive and grounded for the coming season and the promise of longer, warmer days. Be transformed by the movement of stagnant energy and inspired by the quiet beauty of the surrounding landscape as we create community in stillness.

Mornings are reserved for our practice. Afternoons and evenings are free for creative time, to rest, or explore Taos. There are several optional activities planned in the retreat schedule and all are invited to enjoy late nights by the fire in the main house.

Community in Stillness

You will stay at the renowned Mabel Dodge Luhan House, an historic adobe compound founded in the 1920s that sits at the edge of the Taos Pueblo. More than a retreat center, it’s living history—a salon of the creative and poetic, once home to notable 20th-century artists, musicians, writers, and intellectuals.

Taos has many shops, art galleries, and museums to see. Notable landmarks include the Taos Pueblo, Gorge Bridge, Earthships community, and the Ski Valley. Visit Taos for more information about these sites and other activities such as hiking and the local hot springs at Ojo Caliente. Participants will have afternoons and evenings to explore Taos and the surrounding communities on their own.
