Preparing for class

  • Be open to the experience. Qigong movements mirror those of nature so we will flow like water and the wind to create more spaciousness in the the body.

  • Be respectful of others, arriving on time and staying for the entire class. Remain on the mat for the duration to minimize any distractions to other participants.

  • Be kind to yourself. These posture and movements may be new to you, but play around with stretching and breathing as you acclimate to the practice. See what works for you and your body. Material will be repeated so we can increase our knowledge and understanding each class.

  • Be inquisitive. Ask questions about Qigong after class. Let the instructor know ahead of time if you have any health concerns. Modifications will be cued during class to ensure an inclusive, safe space for all to practice.
